Water efficiency

ERM-developed gas-fired power stations are either air or sea water cooled and have virtually zero demand on domestic fresh water supplies. This is in direct contrast to many of Australia’s existing coal-fired power stations, which use significant amounts of fresh water.

Compared with the average water usage of the Australian electricity generation sector, ERM's stations will use approximately 9 billion litres less water over their working lives.
