The Neerabup power station is an integrated, 330MW open-cycle, gas-fired power station and 30km high-pressure gas pipeline network.
The power station was completed in October 2009, and was officially opened on 3 December, 2009.
Located 30km north of Perth in the town of Neerabup, the power station will help meet the growing peak demands for electricity in Western Australia.
Neerabup will deliver approximately six per cent of Western Australia's total electricity requirements, while also reducing the state’s carbon emissions intensity.
ERM led the project's development and financing, was the project and construction manager, and is currently Operator of the business while retaining a 50 per cent equity interest. Energy Infrastructure Trust (EIT) owns the other 50 per cent of the project partnership.
