Andrew St Baker - Executive Director

Andrew has 15 years’ experience in the energy sector, joining ERM as an executive director and shareholder in 1993. During the early stages of electricity market deregulation, Andrew worked closely with the company founder to turn the consulting practice into a project development business.

During these emergent years, Andrew contributed both professionally and financially in creating a successful business platform. Some highlights included the company’s first major project success, the Oakey Power Station, and the development of the Braemar project; now a major energy hub in Southern Queensland. Andrew was responsible for overall company finances, site acquisitions, and managing non-core investment. He held director positions in the joint venture companies and provided general business counsel and strategic advice on commercial matters.

Today as Chief Commercial Officer of ERM, Andrew draws on his depth of knowledge and experience gained within the business; he is responsible for corporate development, in particular, optimising partnership transaction structures and the overall capital structure of the business. Andrew works with senior management to develop and implement such structures and takes a lead role in corporate transactions.

Additionally, Andrew is an Executive Director of ERM Gas. He was instrumental in the company’s expansion upstream into exploration, and in procuring foundation tenement opportunities. See more
