Darling Downs Students Attend QLD Orchestra Performances

Overview

Many of ERM's people are passionate about music and the arts, and performance in all forms is one of our core values. This inspires us to support and foster youth involvement in the arts. Since 2000, ERM has provided sponsorship to allow more than 300 aspiring musicians each year to travel from the Darling Downs to enjoy a Queensland Orchestra performance in Toowoomba.

School students from as far away as Dalby - all of whom are current music students - get the opportunity to attend a performance at Toowoomba's Empire Theatre.

In 2008, students from the region attended "Classical Music Unexplained", and had a rare opportunity to interview conductor Rainer Hersch.

Achievements

Giving more than 2,000 children a chance to experience and learn from a Queensland Orchestra performance.
